Is Essential chat secure?
Your privacy is important to us. We handle Essential chat with care, storing chat logs on our secure server and are only accessed by trained moderation staff when a report is made or when a review is necessary for safety reasons. We don’t monitor conversations in real time or read chats without good reason.
What happens to reported chat messages?
If someone reports a chat message, our mod team takes a look to see what’s going on. They check if it breaks any rules and decide what to do next. If it’s a small thing, they might just give a warning. However, if it’s more serious, they’ll make sure the right people know so it gets handled properly.
If your account gets suspended or banned and you think it wasn’t fair, you can appeal. Fill up the Essential Ban Appeal Form.
